Regular Season Round 18: Andorra II - Quart 48-72

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Quart (13-4) outleveled on the road 7th ranked Andorra II (6-11) 72-48 on Saturday. Quart forced 19 Andorra II turnovers and outrebounded them 49-33 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Andorra II was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Jordi Bataller (193-86) who scored 20 points. Point guard Xavier Costa (192-84) chipped in 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Andorra center Aaron Guzman (199-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard Raimon Carrasco (188-99) added 10 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quart have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group C-A with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Alcobendas. Andorra II lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
