Regular Season Round 22: Orleans - Levallois 85-84

Important game to mention about took place in Orleans. Fourteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (8-13) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Levallois (15-6) 85-84 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Levallois. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Venezuelan-American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Strasbourg. Levallois at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will play against higher ranked Cholet Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Levallois will play against the league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket having rather not much hope for a victory.
