The game in Aalstar supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked Leuven Bears (6-7) played at the court of eighth ranked Okapi Aalstar (6-8). Okapi Aalstar smashed Leuven Bears 82-58 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leuven Bears. Strangely Leuven Bears outrebounded Okapi Aalstar 33-21 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American point guard Riley Lachance (188-96, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Inception Sports) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-86) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by American Brandan Stith (201-94, college: ODU) did not help to save the game for Leuven Bears. His fellow American import Hugh Robertson (195-89, college: S.Florida) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Okapi Aalstar maintains eighth position with 6-8 record. Leuven Bears at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Okapi Aalstar will meet league's leader Oostende on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Leuven Bears will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
