Regular Season Round 22: Avignon/Pontet - Kaysersberg 107-72

Very expected game when 13th ranked Kaysersberg (3-19) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Avignon/Pontet (13-9) 107-72 on Saturday. Avignon/Pontet shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Avignon/Pontet looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kaysersberg's players. Quite impressive performance for point guard Geoffrey Bourcier (182-88) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Forward Dylan Gana (200-92) contributed with 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Avignon/Pontet players scored in double figures. Avignon/Pontet's coach Francois Sence felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Hugo Bourblanc (188-0) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and power forward David Acker (204-92) added 15 points in the effort for Kaysersberg. Newly promoted Avignon/Pontet maintains sixth position in Group B with 13-9 record. Kaysersberg lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 19 games lost. Avignon/Pontet will face Andrezieux (#8) on the road in the next round. Kaysersberg will play against Besancon (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
