Regular Season Round 101: LA Clippers - Minnesota T. 118-106

Date: February 1, 2020
Not a big story in a game in Los Angeles where 5th ranked Timberwolves (15-33) were defeated by second ranked Clippers (34-14) 118-106 on Saturday. Clippers made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Clippers made 7 blocks. Forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) stepped up and scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds and Puerto Rican-American point guard Shabazz Napier (185-91, college: UConn) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Clippers maintains second place with 34-14 record behind leader Toronto R. Timberwolves lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 33 games lost.
