Very expected game when 11th ranked Segle XXI (4-12) lost to fifth ranked Unicaja (10-6) in Malaga 61-70 on Saturday. Unicaja forced 20 Segle XXI turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Unicaja made 7 blocks. Quite impressive performance for Senegalese center Bineta NDoye (196-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard Gema Garcia (165-85) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Unicaja players scored in double figures. Marta Suarez (188-2) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Gisela Sanchez (191-3) added 10 points in the effort for Segle XXI. Segle XXI's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Unicaja moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Barca CBS and Lima-Horta. Segle XXI lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Unicaja will face Granada (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
