There was no surprise in Lapua where 11th ranked Kobrat (8-21) was crushed by second ranked Vilpas (23-6) 107-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vilpas. Kobrat managed to win second period 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Vilpas shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. Swingman Tim Coleman (196-95, college: NJIT) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post, agency: HMS) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Brandon Boggs (198-92, college: W.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 20 points. Five Vilpas and four Kobrat players scored in double figures. Vilpas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-6 record behind leader Seagulls.
