There was no surprise in Lapua where 11th ranked Kobrat (8-21) was crushed by second ranked Vilpas (23-6) 107-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vilpas. Kobrat managed to win second period 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Vilpas shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. Swingman Tim Coleman (196-95, college: NJIT) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post, agency: HMS) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Brandon Boggs (198-92, college: W.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 20 points. Five Vilpas and four Kobrat players scored in double figures. Vilpas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-6 record behind leader Seagulls. Kobrat lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
