Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Saga B. (23-10) defeated at home 7th ranked Saitama B. (16-16) 79-73. It was a great shooting night for Saga B. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Reon Shibuta (175-98) chipped in 21 points. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Saga B. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Saga B. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Aisin AW. Saitama B. at the other side keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Saga B. will again play against Saitama B. (#7) at home in the next round. Saitama B. will have a break next round.
