Regular Season Round 18: Santurtzi - Easo 81-58

There was an upset when higher ranked Easo (11-6) was rolled over on the road by thirteenth ranked Santurtzi (6-11) 81-58 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Imanol Artinano (203-95, college: Alders.-Broad.) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Bingen Perez (175-1) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. Four Santurtzi players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who recorded 9 points and 7 rebounds and Urko Gonzalez (188-0) added 12 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santurtzi maintains thirteenth position in Group A-A with 6-11 record. Easo lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with six games lost. Santurtzi will face higher ranked Tabirako (#10) in Durango in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Easo will play at home against Ardoi (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
