Regular Season Round 21: Pruszkow - Pogon Prudnik 74-75

A very close game took place in Pruszkow between Pogon Prudnik and Pruszkow. Ninth ranked Pogon Prudnik (8-11) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Pruszkow (7-12). Pogon Prudnik managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Saturday evening. Pogon Prudnik made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) nailed 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Mateusz Szwed (198-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard January Sobczak (179-97) added 20 points respectively for Pruszkow in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to eighth place. Loser Pruszkow dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Polonia Leszno and Biofarm PZN. Pogon Prudnik will meet at home Polonia Leszno (#12) in the next round. Pruszkow will play against Miasto Szkla in Krosno and hope to secure a win.
