Very expected game in Venezia where 14th ranked Marghera (2-16) was defeated by eighth ranked San Martino (8-9) 60-47 on Saturday. Guard Sara Toffolo (184-0) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alice Peserico (170-2) chipped in 12 points. Chiara Grattini produced 16 points and 4 assists and forward Chiara Camporeale (181-1) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San Martino maintains eighth place in A2 with 8-9 record. Loser Marghera keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. San Martino will face Ponzano (#13) in Veneto in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
