Another exciting game was also this time a derby match between local teams from Nassau: Shockers (#3) and BIBT Great W. (#6). Shockers (8-4) crushed visiting BIBT Great W. (0-11) by 22 points 87-65. Shockers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to BIBT Great W.'s 42. Shockers forced 24 BIBT Great W. turnovers and outrebounded them 63-48 including a 23-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Shockers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. BIBT Great W. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Shamir Rolle (198, college: Freed-Hardeman) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Rameno King helped adding 9 points and 20 rebounds. Four Shockers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Judinio Wilson with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Trevez Hamilton scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Shockers maintains third place with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Rockets. BIBT Great W. lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Shockers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Rockets.
