Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Zagreb and 8th ranked Plamen Pozega had identical 3-8 record. This time Zagreb used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pozega 66-62. Zagreb forced 31 Plamen Pozega turnovers. Strangely Plamen Pozega outrebounded Zagreb 45-33 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Rezo Blazenka (176-96) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Viktorija Curic (185-1) supported her with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Zagreb's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds by American center Jessica Warren (190, college: Kaskaskia JC) did not help to save the game for Plamen Pozega. Center Andrea Maric (195-97, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Zagreb (4-8) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FSV Rijeka. Plamen Pozega lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Zagreb's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zagreb to the arena Tresnjevka.
