No shocking result in a game when third ranked Deportivo Valdivia (15-12) won against at home 6th ranked AB Ancud (12-13) 82-77 on Sunday. Deportivo Valdivia made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-87) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Gerardo Isla (201-91, college: Columbia, MO) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. International guard Sebastian Suarez (193-91, college: Portland St.) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Jovonni Shuler (195-87, college: SSU) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Loser AB Ancud dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Deportivo Valdivia will face league's second-placed Universidad de Concepcion on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AB Ancud will play against Los Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
