There was an upset when higher ranked Basket Scafati (11-10) lost at home to twelfth ranked Eurobasket RO (7-14) 72-68 on Sunday. Eurobasket RO outrebounded Basket Scafati 39-21 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Eugenio Fanti (184-91) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Eurobasket RO's coach Luciano Nunzi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard JJ Frazier (178-95, college: Georgia) answered with 13 points and 5 assists and point guard Riccardo Rossato (190-96, agency: Players Group) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Basket Scafati. Four Basket Scafati players scored in double figures. Eurobasket RO maintains twelfth place in A2 with 7-14 record. Loser Basket Scafati dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Eurobasket RO will face higher ranked Latina Basket (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
