Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sudbury F. (7-5) against fourth ranked Titans (4-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Sudbury F. was defeated by Titans in a tough game in Kitchener 104-108. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sudbury F.. Titans shot 24 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Sudbury F. only scored six points from the stripe. Titans forced 21 Sudbury F. turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by forward Akeem Ellis (198-90, college: Coppin St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and center Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo, agency: Areus Sports) supported him with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Titans' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by forward Marlon Johnson (208-94, college: N.Mexico Highlands) did not help to save the game for Sudbury F.. Guard Jaylen Bland (190-93, college: UC Riverside) added 23 points. Five Sudbury F. players scored in double figures. Titans maintains fourth position with 4-10 record. Sudbury F. at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. Titans will play against league's leader London Lightning on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sudbury F. will play against Halifax Hurricanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
