Regular Season Round 21: Novipiu Casale - 2B Control TR 52-77

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Novipiu Casale (13-8) against sixth ranked 2B Control TR (12-9) on Sunday night. Host Novipiu Casale was crushed by 2B Control TR in Casale 77-52. 2B Control TR dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Novipiu Casale's 26. They outrebounded Novipiu Casale 44-31 including 36 on the defensive glass. 2B Control TR players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and the former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. 2B Control TR's coach Daniele Parente felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) with 8 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-89) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. 2B Control TR maintains sixth place in A2 with 12-9 record. Novipiu Casale at the other side dropped to the second position with eight games lost. 2B Control TR will play against higher ranked Derthona TRT (#5) in Tortona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Novipiu Casale will play at home against Orlandina CdO and hopes to get back on the winning track.
