Second-ranked Universidad de Concepcion (15-14) gave a tough game to first ranked Puente Alto (20-9) on Sunday. Puente Alto managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Universidad de Concepcion. Puente Alto looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Corbin Jackson (198-92, college: Florida Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. American-Nigerien swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-94, college: UCF) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. International guard Diego Silva (186-93) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Brandon Moss (208, college: LSUA) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Puente Alto have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-9 record. Loser Universidad de Concepcion keeps the second place with 14 games lost. Puente Alto will meet league's leader Las Animas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad de Concepcion will play against the league's second-placed Deportivo Valdivia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
