Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Abaco Strong (#5). Giants (13-0) smashed visiting Abaco Strong (3-8) by 24 points 74-50. Giants forced 21 Abaco Strong turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. The winners were led by Adam Johnson who scored that evening 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international Michael Bain (185-85) supported him with 14 points and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds by Chauncey Cooper did not help to save the game for Abaco Strong. Timothy Bullard added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Giants have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Abaco Strong lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Giants' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Wolverines.
