Everything went according to plan in Mashhad where sixth ranked Mashad (16-8) beat 13th ranked Shahrdari Q. (4-19) 88-79. Mashad made 33-of-42 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Shahrdari Q. turnovers and outrebounded them 53-34 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mashad players were unselfish on offense dishing 41 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Shahrdari Q.'s players. Shahrdari Q. was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Mehdi Esmaeili (207-84) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international guard Emad Salmani (188-90) accounted for 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
