Rather expected game when 9th ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (4-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Holon (8-8) 94-80. Holon outrebounded Bnot Hertzeliya 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Quite impressive performance for forward Betnijah Laney (183-93, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists. Power forward Karisma Penn (188-91, college: Illinois) contributed with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Holon players scored in double figures. Guard Lexie Brown (175-94, college: Duke, agency: Wasserman) replied with 32 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Bnot Hertzeliya. Holon maintains sixth position with 8-8 record, which they share with M.Haifa. Bnot Hertzeliya lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 12 games lost. Holon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ramat Hasharon (#5) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Bnot Hertzeliya will play against Ashdod (#4) and hope to win that game.
