Important game to mention about took place in Tours. Seventh ranked Vitre (11-12) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Tours (16-7) 87-84 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Tours was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Robert Turner (188-93, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds. Romain Gregoire (201-91) accounted for 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Guinean swingman Ahmed Doumbia (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Tours in the defeat. Five Tours players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vitre maintains seventh place in Group A with 11-12 record, which they share with Bordeaux and Dax-Gamarde. Tours at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Boulogne. Vitre will play against higher ranked Vendee Challans (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tours will play against Vanves and hopes to get back on the winning track.
