Regular Season Round 23: Mulhouse - Feurs EF 81-71

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Mulhouse (11-12) won against at home 12th ranked Feurs EF (5-18) 81-71 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Feurs EF 51-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Quentin Diehl (186-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian forward Guillaume Boucard (198-90, college: Carleton) helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Mulhouse's coach Jean-Luc Monschau used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guinean forward Cedric Mansare (198-85) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard William Mensah (175-95) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mulhouse have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place in Group B. Loser Feurs EF keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Mulhouse will face higher ranked Avignon/Pontet (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Feurs EF will play against Andrezieux (#8) and hope to win that game.
