Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Sao Paulo: Vivo/Franca (#2) and Pinheiros (#5). Vivo/Franca (15-5) won against visiting Pinheiros (12-7) 78-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pinheiros. Vivo/Franca made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. International forward Lucas Silva (209-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Rafael Hettsheimeir (206-86) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) replied with 17 points and the former international center Caio Torres (211-87, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pinheiros. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-5 record behind leader Flamengo. Pinheiros at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Vivo/Franca's next round opponent will be SKY/Basquete (#14) in Aldeota which should be an easy win for them. Pinheiros will play on the road against Paschoalotto/Bauru (#11) and hope to win that game.
