Regular Season Round 105: Dallas M. - Memphis G. 107-121

An interesting game for Grizzlies (26-25) which played road game in Dallas against second-best Mavericks (31-20). Third ranked Grizzlies managed to get a 14-point victory 121-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mavericks. Grizzlies dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mavericks' 34. Grizzlies had a 42-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for forward Jaren Jackson-Jr (211-99, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian-American Brandon Clarke (203-96, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Jalen Brunson (190-96, college: Villanova) added 20 points and 6 assists in the effort for Mavericks. Five Grizzlies and four Mavericks players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Grizzlies maintains third place with 26-25 record having twelve points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Mavericks keep the second position with 20 games lost.
