Regular Season Round 105: Boston C. - Orlando M. 116-100

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Magic (22-29) lost to second ranked Celtics (35-15) in Boston 100-116 on Wednesday. Celtics dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Magic's 38. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Celtics looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for forward Jayson Tatum (203-98, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Gordon Hayward (203-90, college: Butler) contributed with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Aaron Gordon (206-95, college: Arizona) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and French Evan Fournier (198-92) added 26 points in the effort for Magic. Four Celtics and five Magic players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Celtics. They maintain second place with 35-15 record having 2 victories less than leader Toronto R. which they share with defeated Magic. Loser Magic keeps the second position with 29 games lost. Celtics will have a break next day. Magic will play on the road against Knicks in New York City and hope to win that game.
