Serie A2 top team - Basket RAV (18-4) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Roseto Sharks (6-16) 88-66. Basket RAV made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Basket RAV had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Roseto Sharks were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Giddy Potts (188-95, college: MTSU) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) chipped in 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Basket RAV players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos-Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Cameroonian power forward Philippe Bayehe (204-99) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Basket RAV maintains first position in A2 with 18-4 record. Loser Roseto Sharks keep the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Basket RAV will face San Severo (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roseto Sharks will play against UCC Piacenza and hope to win that game.
