The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Inter Bratislava (20-4) on the court of sixth ranked Iskra Svit on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Iskra Svit 79-77. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Phil Carr (203-95, college: Morgan St.) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Michal Batka (204-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and the former international Richard Korner (200-90, agency: 011 Sports) scored 18 points. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Iskra Svit maintains sixth position with 12-13 record. Defending champion Inter Bratislava still keeps top place with four games lost. Iskra Svit are looking forward to face Handlova (#7) on the road in the next round. Inter Bratislava will play against the league's second-placed Levice (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
