There was no surprise when 13th ranked Brasilia (6-14) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Mogi (15-6) 86-70 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was forward Alexandre de-Souza (202-92) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mogi's coach Jorge Guerra used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Pedrinho Wellausen (183-95) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Arthur Silva (196-82) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Mogi and four Brasilia players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mogi. They maintain fourth place with 15-6 record. Brasilia lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Mogi will face Minas (#5) in Belo Horizonte in the next round.
