Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Lulea: RIG Lulea (#5) and Lulea S. (#7). RIG Lulea (7-8) won against visiting Lulea S. (5-10) 91-85. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 18-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Matteus Skagius (189-1) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Elias Hortlund (175-1) accounted for 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four RIG Lulea players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for RIG Lulea. They maintain fifth place in North with 7-8 record. Loser Lulea S. dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Alvik 2. RIG Lulea will meet at home KFUM Sundsvall (#7) in the next round. Lulea S. will play against KFUM Sundsvall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
