A very close game took place in Washington between Wizards and Mavericks. Third ranked Wizards (18-32) got a very close home victory over second-ranked Mavericks (31-21). Wizards managed to escape with a 1-point win 119-118 on Friday evening. Wizards looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Latvian forward Davis Bertans (208-92) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Tim Hardaway-Jr (198-92, college: Michigan) responded with 19 points and 7 assists and point guard Seth Curry (185-90, college: Duke) scored 20 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wizards maintains third place with 18-32 record having twenty one points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Mavericks keep the second position with 21 games lost. They share it with Indiana P.. Wizards will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mavericks will play against Hornets in Charlotte and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
