An exciting game was played in Oklahoma City. Third ranked Thunder faced their close opponent Pistons. Host Thunder (32-20) defeated guests from Detroit (19-34) 108-101. Thunder made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Chris Paul (183-85, college: Wake Forest) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Italian Danilo Gallinari (208-88) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Thunder players scored in double figures. Thunder's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Christian Wood (208-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Reggie Jackson (190-90, college: Boston Coll.) added 28 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Thunder. They maintain third place with 32-20 record having five points less than leader Toronto R. which they share with defeated Pistons. Loser Pistons keep the third position with 34 games lost. Thunder will have a break next day. Pistons will play at home against Knicks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
