Regular Season Round 18: KR - Keflavik 88-82

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Keflavik (13-5) against sixth ranked KR (11-7) on Friday night. Visiting Keflavik was defeated by KR in a tough game in Reykjavik 82-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Keflavik. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 50-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international point guard Matthias Sigurdarson (183-94, college: Columbus St.) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian Dino Cinac (201-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Hordur Vilhjalmsson (194-88) scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Njardvik and Haukar. Loser Keflavik keeps the second position with five games lost. KR will meet Njardvik (#4) on the road in the next round. Keflavik will play against Haukar and hope to secure a win.
