The game in Sinj supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Split (14-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Alkar (8-11). Split smashed Alkar 95-68 on Friday. Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Pavle Marcinkovic (197-89, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Jamel Morris (193-92, college: Fairmont St.) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Split players scored in double figures. American power forward Emmanuel Wembi (203-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Alkar in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Split have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader Zadar. Loser Alkar keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Split will meet at home Sibenik (#6) in the next round. Alkar will play against KK Vrijednosnice Osijek and hope to secure a win.
