Regular Season Round 21: Cearense - Franca 75-97
Date: February 7, 2020
The game with biggest result difference took place in Aldeota. Local SKY/Basquete (4-18) was outscored by second ranked Vivo/Franca (16-5) 97-75 on Friday night. It was a great shooting night for Vivo/Franca especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was Uruguayan point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94) who scored 23 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-94, college: Mount Olive) who recorded 13 points and 7 assists and Alex Oliveira (196-83) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Vivo/Franca. They maintain second place with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Flamengo. Loser SKY/Basquete dropped to the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Vivo/Franca will face UniFacisa (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
