Regular Season Round 13: Batumi - Dinamo Tbilisi 98-85

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (6-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Batumi (8-4) 98-85. The game was mostly controlled by Batumi. Dinamo Tbilisi was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Batumi players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Serbian center Nikola Vujovic (210-93) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and Greek guard Nikolaos Diplaros (190-97) accounted for 20 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. International point guard Luka Bulashvili (192-98) came up with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Maizer Revazashvili (208-96) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Dinamo Tbilisi in the defeat. Four Batumi and five Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Batumi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-4 record behind leader TSU. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Batumi's next round opponent will be Mgzavrebi (#10) in Tbilisi and are hoping to win another game.
