Regular Season Round 32: Kobrat - Seagulls 72-87

Korisliiga top team - Seagulls (25-5) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Kobrat (8-22) in Lapua 87-72. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-72. Seagulls dominated on the defensive end, holding Kobrat to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Kobrat 40-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of Canadian guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-95, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 assists and international Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valpo) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Seagulls players scored in double figures. Seagulls' coach Jussi Laakso used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brandon Boggs (198-92, college: W.Carolina, agency: Mansfield and Associates) responded with 25 points and the former international point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Seagulls maintains first position with 25-5 record. Kobrat lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 22 games lost.
