Regular Season Round 18: Neptune - Templeogue 79-95

There was a small surprise in Cork where sixth ranked Templeogue (10-7) defeated one of their biggest challengers Neptune (9-7) 95-79. Templeogue made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Lorcan Murphy (182-94) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Templeogue players scored in double figures. Spanish forward Nil Sabita (200) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Neptune. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Neptune at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Templeogue's next round opponent will be Maree (#10) in Galway where they are favorite. Neptune will play on the road against Killester (#8) in Dublin and hope to win that game.
