There was no surprise when 12th ranked Zornotza (7-14) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Marbella (10-11) 75-72 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Martyce Kimbrough (185-96, college: Findlay, OH, agency: Duran International) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Pablo Ibanez (198-93, agency: Promo Sport ID) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-Canadian forward Kenny Ejim (198-94, college: Humber) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jimond Ivey (196-96, college: Akron) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Marbella moved-up to ninth place in Silver. Loser Zornotza keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Marbella will face higher ranked Cocinas.com (#6) in Logrono in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zornotza will play at home against Juaristi ISB (#3) and hope to win that game.
