Date: February 8, 2020
There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Kings (21-31) rolled over their close opponent Spurs (22-30) in Sacramento 122-102 on Saturday. Kings shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 54.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Bahamas guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Harrison Barnes (203-92, college: UNC) contributed with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Dejounte Murray (193-96, college: Washington) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Spurs. Four Kings and five Spurs players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kings have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Spurs lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 30 games lost.
