Regular Season Round 19: Easo - Ardoi 61-54

Everything could happen in San Sebastian at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Easo and 5th ranked Ardoi had identical 11-6 record. This time Easo used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Zizur Mayor 61-54 on Saturday night. Easo made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for forward Asier Azpeitia (192-98) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Iker Arrieta (180-92) contributed with 16 points and 5 steals for the winners. Easo's coach Gotzon Arrieta allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Nicolas Uriz (184-96) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ardoi. Easo (12-6) moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Arha Hoteles. Loser Ardoi keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Easo will face bottom-ranked Valle de Egues (#10) in Olaz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ardoi will play at home against Tabirako (#11) and hope to win that game.
