Date: February 8, 2020
Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked San Salvatore (9-9) outplayed at home 11th ranked Livorno (6-11) 80-57 on Saturday. Point guard Margherita Mataloni (165-95) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four San Salvatore players scored in double figures. Power forward Francesca Orsini (185-95) replied with 19 points and point guard Alice Lucchesini (171-96) added 8 points in the effort for Livorno. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvatore maintains ninth position in A2 with 9-9 record. Newly promoted Livorno keeps the eleventh place with 11 games lost. San Salvatore will face league's second-placed Faenza on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Livorno will play against Cagliari V. (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
