Regular Season Round 21: Gniezno - Biofarm 2 75-48

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Gniezno (10-7) outplayed at home 11th ranked Biofarm 2 (2-15) 75-48 on Saturday. Gniezno forced 32 Biofarm 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for Piotr Lesniczak (196-99) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Swingman Juliusz Baranski (196-96) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Coach Arkadiusz Konowalski's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Aleksander Wisniewski (192-3) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Szymon Sobiech (195-2) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Biofarm 2. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gniezno. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Trefl 2 Sopot. Biofarm 2 lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Gniezno will face league's leader Arka 2 in Gdynia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biofarm 2 will play at home against Notec Inowr. (#3) and hope to win that game.
