Regular Season Round 21: MKS DG 2 - Rybnik 76-84

There was an upset when 4th placed MKS DG 2 (12-6) lost to twelfth ranked Rybnik (6-14) in Dabrowa Gornicza 76-84 on Saturday. Rybnik dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 32. It was a good game for forward Krzysztof Zielinski (192-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Dawid Boryka (188-97) answered with 26 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MKS DG 2. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Rybnik moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser MKS DG 2 keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Rybnik will face higher ranked AZS AWF Mick. (#3) in Katowice in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against Jaroslaw and hope to win that game.
