Regular Season Round 24: Peja - Bashkimi 103-80

The game in Peja supposed to be also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Bashkimi (13-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Peja (13-9). Peja smashed Bashkimi 103-80. Peja dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bashkimi's 46. They outrebounded Bashkimi 51-32 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Peja players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for the former international Dardan Berisha (191-88) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 assists. American forward Rick Jackson (206-89, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Peja's coach Jeronimo Sarin felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Stevie Clark (180-94, college: LSUS) replied with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Ujkan Karanezi (202-95) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bashkimi. Five Peja and four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Peja moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Bashkimi. Peja's next round opponent will be Trepca (#7) in Mitrovice. Bashkimi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Prizren Prizreni.
