Regular Season Round 22: Fortitudo BO - Virtus Roma 95-92

Fourteenth-ranked Virtus Roma (7-14) was very close to win a game against seventh ranked Fortitudo BO (11-10) in Bologna on Saturday. Fortitudo BO managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92. However their fans expected much easier game. Fortitudo BO looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Canadian guard Kassius Robertson (191-94, college: Missouri) notched 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and the former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) supported him with 26 points. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by naturalized Bosnian forward Amar Alibegovic (206-95, college: St.John's, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Virtus Roma. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Fortitudo BO maintains seventh position with 11-10 record, which they share with Venezia and Trento. Virtus Roma lost eighth consecutive game. Virtus Roma at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Pistoia. Fortitudo BO will meet Pistoia (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Virtus Roma will play against Armani Milano and hope to secure a win.
