Important game to mention about took place in Detroit. Fifth ranked Knicks (17-36) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Pistons (19-35) 95-92 on Saturday evening. They outrebounded Pistons 47-28 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Knicks players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Julius Randle (206-94, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Wayne Ellington (193-87, college: UNC) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Knicks' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Reggie Jackson (190-90, college: Boston Coll.) with 20 points and 9 assists and forward Christian Wood (208-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Four Knicks and five Pistons players scored in double figures. Knicks have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 17-36 record. Pistons at the other side keep the fourth place with 35 games lost. Knicks will play against Hawks (#5) in Atlanta in the next day. Pistons will have a break next day.
