Regular Season Round 23: Cholet - Orleans 70-67

Twelfth-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (8-14) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Cholet Basket (14-8). Cholet Basket managed to secure only three-point victory 70-67. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Entente Orleans 45. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Greek power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Cholet Basket's coach Erman Kunter allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Entente Orleans 45 in the defeat. Cholet Basket maintains fifth place with 14-8 record, which they share with Bourg. Newly promoted Entente Orleans 45 keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Chalons-Reims and Chalon. Cholet Basket will play against JL Bourg (#6) on the road in the next round. Entente Orleans 45 will play against JSF Nanterre (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
