Very predictable result when second ranked Monaco (19-3) defeated on the road 16th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (6-16) 79-63 on Saturday. They outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 48-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gravelines-Dunkerque was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for international Yakuba Ouattara (192-92, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St.) helped adding 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Monaco players scored in double figures. North Macedonian swingman Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Guinean-American power forward Ousmane Drame (206-93, college: Quinnipiac) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach gave the chance to play for ten players seeing no chance for a win. Monaco keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Dijon and ASVEL. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 16 games lost. Monaco will face Chalons-Reims (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Le Portel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
