Regular Season Round 23: Roanne - Dijon 87-93

Everything went according to plan when third ranked JDA Dijon (19-3) beat on the road 14th ranked Chorale de Roanne (7-15) 93-87 on Saturday. JDA Dijon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Chorale de Roanne's players. It was a great evening for international point guard Axel Julien (184-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. American center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. American guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: FSU) responded with 30 points and the other American import guard Marcquise Reed (190-95, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 29 points. Chorale de Roanne's coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. JDA Dijon have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with ASVEL and Monaco. Newly promoted Chorale de Roanne dropped to the fifteenth place with 15 games lost. JDA Dijon will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Boulazac Basket (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
